Hallo! Ik ben Berke Sinnema, Illustrator en ontwerper. Ik groeide op omringd door creativiteit. Het hele huis was gevuld met schilderijen en sculpturen gemaakt door mijn moeder. Al vrij jong ontdekte ik dat je niet alleen kan kauwen op potloden maar er ook mee kan tekenen. Zo visualiseerde ik mijn gedachten. In deze krabbels was een sterke connectie tussen vorm en functie te zien. Het was ook in deze jonge jaren dat ik voor het eerst een attractiepark binnenstapte. Overweldigd en vol van inspiratie vormde ik een levenslange interesse. Ooit word ik pretpark ontwerper!

 

Als gedreven student studeerde ik 4 jaar grafisch ontwerp en 4 jaar illustratieve vormgeving. Die kennis paste ik toe bij een bedrijf dat gespecialiseerd in ontwerpen voor attractieparken en festivals. Naast de pretparken is er ook een interesse in het ontwerpen en illustreren van bordspellen ontstaan. Dit alles zal je terugzien in mijn portfolio. Mijn creatieve reis brengt me tot dit punt. Met in mijn rugzak de expertises van het illustreren, grafisch ontwerpen en concept art.

 

Mijn creatieve boodschap aan de wereld is dat vorm en functie in harmonie moeten samenwerken. Elk ontwerp verdient een beetje creatieve liefde. Zo maken we de wereld mooi.

Hi! I’m Berke Sinnema. An artist from the Netherlands. I grew up in a creative household surrounded by beautiful paintings and sculptures. When I was young, next to chewing on pencils, I loved drawing with them to express what was in my mind. There was a strong link between aesthetics and technicality, form and function. It was also during this phase of my life where I first stepped into a theme park. Overwhelmed with inspiration this kickstarted an interest still treasured to this day. “One day, I will be a theme park designer”.

 

And so I studied hard. 4 years of graphic design and 4 years of illustration studies. After which I joined a design company specialized in theme parks and festivals. Along the way I discovered an interest in sandbox games and boardgame design. As seen in my portfolio, this inspiration turned into a part of the craft. My creative journey granted me the expertise in the areas of illustration, concept art and graphic design.

 

My creative message to the world is that form and function should be in harmony. Every design deserves a bit of creative love. That is how we make the world a beautiful place.
